I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. Stories have been my dear friends since the tender age of two. Stories run in my family.
I first attempted to write a novel when I was eleven years old. That novel was about two princesses with magic powers and talking mushrooms and was extremely silly. But it got me invested in creating my own stories filled with magic and wonder.
As I grew older, I continued revising that princess book, though it changed quite drastically. This time it had an evil wizard. I got brave enough to share snippets of that book with strangers who became lifelong best friends.
I kept writing and telling oral stories to my siblings and friends—stories filled with magic animals, magic schools, and fairies and dragons—all the things I dearly loved.
And I read. And read. And read! Books by authors like Jessica Day George, Shannon Hale, Julia Golding, Shannon Messenger, Brandon Mull, Cornelia Funke, Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Gail Carson Levine, Brittany Ryan, Carolyn Meyer, and many, many others fueled my imagination. I wanted to have a pet dragon and soar off on adventures throughout fantasy worlds and historical ones. I wanted to don a princess dress and go to a ball.
Stories fueled me so much that I went to college for a degree in editing and publishing, taking as many creative writing classes as I could. I published several articles and poems, but my heart was still set on writing a novel. I joined writing groups. I attended writing conferences. I read craft books and worked on revising my manuscripts and crafting new ones. But it felt like being published was a distant dream.
Then, in January of 2025, I received an opportunity to get editing from my alma mater as a way to train up future editors. I signed up and got my first book edited. I rewrote the entire book in three weeks. Revised some more after edits. Had several sets of professional eyes look it over. And decided to publish on June 27, 2025 under my imprint Dragon’s Ice Books as a way to honor my dad, who was my biggest supporter and passed away three years ago on June 27, 2022.

There will be more YA and MG fantasy books to come, but for now, check out my debut: The Princesses’ Quest available now as a paperback and ebook! Visit Books for more info!
